The only evidence of it I've seen, was in the extreme home-makeover video. In that short clip, Job McCulley is driving the Black Pearl against several EITC enemies around Devil's Anvil.
I suspect that it is a similar glitch to the skeleton glitch; quite possibly why they don't allow lookout while in the boss battle, anymore.
