Actually I never thought of it that way until recently in SVS when a ship was being chased by 3 ships and the people on board actually suggested another player to launch a opposing war galleon and meet up mid route in order to sink it for salvage to repair the ship.
The things people do to cheat in this game just boggles the mind sometimes.
