From Kani:

As I knelt behind the rock watching and waiting for the right moment this Meghan Plunderette began to pace around the fire. Back and forth kicking up the sand with her bare feet as she went. She seemed to be nervous or was she just inpatient?

As I was pondering those thoughts I heard a sound behind me. I had been so deep in thought that I never saw or heard a giant crab come up behind me. I leaped up suddenly and scrambled over the rock and pulled my cutlass from my side. It continued to make its way to me as I backed up to give it some room. I despise these vile creatures! Without thinking I swung my cutlass swiftly over my head and took the despicable creature down quickly. As I pulled my cutlass from its body I saw a glint of light glance off the steel blade. I suddenly realized as I turned that I had gotten too far from the deep darkness that had hid me so well. I quickly stepped back into it and as I did I noticed the lone female had stopped pacing about the sandy beach. She seemed frozen with fear as she looked towards the darkness to where I still stood. I heard the sharp intake of her breath as she took a step forward. She called out to the darkness to where I stood, "Hello?" with a tremor in her voice. She took another step then another
. . ."Who's there?" with a little more conviction in her voice this time.

Still undecided on what to do I watched as she turned quickly on her heels and walked back to the light of the fire all the while muttering under her breath as she went. Can I trust her? How far is she willing to go with this venture? These thoughts kept me on edge and undecided. I chuckled to myself as I hear her call out a challenge to show myself or else! She is either very foolish or very brave! Aye it is time to see what this wench is made of.

As I walked toward the light of the fire I thought of all the lives that were involved in this plot and it put a heavy burden upon my heart. Then . . . the flashes of memories of how this Lord and Master has treated us wenches came flooding thru and overtook those thoughts. Vengenance grew stronger and stronger with each step I took until I finally stepped into the light with cutlass in hand. Hell hath no fury like mine when the Sea Goddess has been scorned and she has been scorned way too many times by his Lordship's arrogance and his lust for fresh wenches! It is time . . . time for the mutiny to begin.
