But last nite I did not experience any lag. It was like one second the ship I was taking down was right beside me then the next second it was 10 to 20 ft. in front of my ship. At first I thot he or she logged or was booted off until I looked up and there it was in front of me. I can usually tell when someone is glitching so I am not sure in this case. This happened several times last nite and it was very annoying especially when I am on cannon. I asked my GM who was at the wheel if he saw what just happened and he said he did experience the same thing. So it wasn't just me. So can anyone tell me was the ship glitching or do we both have computer problems? We were on Andosa Ocean at the time. Thank you to anyone that can help me figure this out.

As I and many others discovered during my "Glitch-Free Tournament," many of the blinking/jumping motions of ships are unintentional. I usually see COME ABOUT do what you described above. Since 100% of that lag is server-side lag, there isn't much you can do about it.
That said, on the "crazy-A servers" there is an enormously higher frequency of that class of glitch. When I see it happen 5 times in a row with only a single ship (and never with any others) its a pretty good indication that they've figured out a way to trigger that server-side lag.
In my book, that isn't a glitch, that's an exploit. I wish Big-D shared my opinion; but they obviously don't, on that one.
