Well, when I recall Jack Sparrow (not a real pirate, but certainly appropriate example for a POTCO issue) in the first movie, he held a woman hostage, using her for a shield, swung around on a rope, hid behind a statue, and won by cheating against Will Turner ("
Pirate").
Seems like bouncing is appropriate.
