Yeah, system recovery was a total bust, even. I had the laptop for 4 years though and went through two memory replacements and a hard drive replacement (and a screen replacement and a new disk drive, but those were my fault, tehe).
But a bit of good news, someone felt sorry for me and bought me a new laptop. Should be here by Friday!
