To wipe out the Kingshead mob in one shot, I'd recommend max Siege Charge instead of max Desolation... doesn't hurt you too.
In response to Chern's question, reallocate reallocate reallocate!!! I can't even COUNT how many times I've reallocated my skills. I'm pretty sure I'm up to 10,000 gold to retrain every weapon (and some I've paid the 10k several times to keep retraining on some weapons) but it was totally worth it to get the perfect builds for me.
