This actually is the best option for all players... because there are two ways people drive their ships for attack, and we could all have the choice
As mentioned I'm a big fan of the 1st way, simply because I drive the boat "side on" to see the broadsides on the target and the "radar compass" for my orientation of direction.
Those who drive "head on" find the ships give them their proper orientation and the compass for shooting.
Both options should be included
