Additional note to Rackat's VIL:
Use the ~ on your keyboard to check the SvS action prior to using the Spanish Isle as a ship launching site. If the Spanish side has more ships in SvS, you will not be able to launch your ship. (It's an automatic setting to try and keep the sides equal.)
Otherwise the SvS islands also make great places to go to for getting more ammo... no town to run through at all.
