You cant even access a banned account from the website account management, why would it still work for linked accounts? Makes no sense.

Yes, exactly. I want to say more, but you pretty much hit the nail on its head - it just doesn't make any sense. If they are concerned that banned persons are still getting on through linked accounts, the simple and
logical solution is just to ban the linked account as well, or prevent it from accessing the banned account. I'm not buying this either. It's alllll about the benjamins.
