Alright, here's the deal. We're now allowed to have 5 avatars made for the guild to be added to the PiratesOnlineForums.com avatar set. I decided that instead of using the avatars I already have on the site, that I was going to set up a new, more creative set for here.
The theme of this is "Highsea Chanties". I've already made 3, but I need your guys help with the other two. Now, you don't have to design them, I'll cover that part. But I need your help on the theme of the avvie.
First off, here's what the "Highsea Chanties" theme means. I've been taking sea shanties and twisting them around to have a HSP/POTCO theme. Here's the three I have so far...
...but I can't think up little twisted chanties for the other two! Here's what I need from you all. I need you to think of, or look for a sea chanty, then twist it around to describe the game or the guild! A few guidelines...
- However you change it, it must fit the original rhythm of the chanty
- The chanty line for the first frame should be from the chanty, but can be twisted too (just not so much that it doesn't sound the same!)
- The second part should be what you twist around.
- Your entry should be original.
- Your entry should also include what image should be used (a crate, voodoo doll, etc.)
- Only one entry per member, please. :-)
As another example, here are the three shanties I switched around...
1. Yo ho ho
Thirteen men and a dead man's chest
Thirteen men and a royal chest
2. Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life For Me
We pillage, We plunder, We rifle and loot!
We pillage, We plunder, and sail for our loot!
3. Sailor's Song
Sailing, Sailing, Over the bounding main.
Sailing, Sailing, and sinking all ships in sight.
You have until this Saturday to submit your ideas, then I will select the top 2 entries and use them for the last two avvies that can be added to POF. I will however, use all of the entries that follow the above guidelines for avvies to be shown on the Highsea Pillager's site.
(Oh, and for all you officers, I'm letting you enter too, that's why I'm picking them myself.)
