I might be one of the few that doesn't even put a single point in it. I max out round shots and rapid reload and basic cannon firing for faster shooting.
When on a BB I'll go to the side with lessor and weaker crew and will sink those two ships faster than a few guys on the other side using fury. Sometimes when I'm having a good day I can't even sink a ship without taking down the sails first using just round shots.
