I understand your dilemma but I am having trouble with your notion that gaining level 40 is "completing the game." Running around the Caribbean striking down everything you come across is
not gaming. It's hand-eye coordination.
In order to complete the game, doesn't it require you to actually participate in a few of the game-play elements? I know that strategy is at a minimum in this game and completing the story is honestly sometimes just about how many times you mash the mouse button but if you aren't doing the storyline, you aren't "playing the game." Seriously, if you want to mindlessly run around just killing stuff without a story, go get a copy of Postal. But if you want to
finish the game... start the story, do all the side quests, recover the Pearl...
