Last nights suggested ground rules.

I am Maya Mara, I took the floor last night to try to further establish some ground rules that we could all trust in to make a smoother event, and yes I found it difficult and the outcome wasnt conclusive but it raised the point of change.
Those that harbour distrust and have 'issues' with certain others may feel just in their argument and that it is with good reason that those anymosities exist. We do have a rich history of svs developing, its hard for some to put asside old issues BUT the very fact we are all there and giving these events the time of day shows that we all feel change is due, and, again as we all know change will happen regardless, it makes good sense that we are all influential in that change.
We can all sit on the old 'issues' we have with each other, we can all succumb yet again to the intimidation of accusations of cheating and glitching, and yes indeed some can be audacious enough to attempt to use them in the event, BUT we have to make a conscious effort to do our part in making a change that IS going to happen regardless of whether it is resisted or not.
If you want a clean game you have to play a clean game, if you want a drama free one you have to not enter into moments of drama, if you want to be trusted you have to make a leap of faith and show trust in others, that may start here with Roxanna and the concept of what she is trying to achieve, if you want to establish an event where these issues are left aside, even if its only for the duration of the event it has to come from each and every one of us.

That is not to say that how we arrived at our individual standings in the game should be dismissed either, each guild has its own identity and strengths those differences are very important and what makes any competetive event successful.

Thankyou Skirata and the rest of you for your attendance at the meet and event and for your comments here. I also agree with Skirata on all points made although I would like to see us all act better on trust before we offer out of game contact with each other.

Maya
