Whoa, you guys want to pretty much re-write the game then?
Repairing ships while in the ocean? Thats laughable, maybe a 10% fix up could be done, anymore than that and I'd like to know how it would be possible. Like, your ship floats out of the water, you start hovering around it and patch it up with your magical wood and nails that floated past.
Shops, Economy? This game doesn't need it, and it's better off without it, I'd rather focus on fighting/ sailing / looting and doing quests than looking for somewhere to unload my cargo when I get on shore. Or spending time trying to find people to trade with or re-stock with.
Cargo? Bigger Cargo? See what's in the cargo? Nah, ill pass on both of these, More cargo is not needed, and to see whats in it?
I'd be happy with a simple 'drop cargo' button, none of this sorting and hmm, what do I keep, what do I get rid of. You either empty it all, or you keep it all, none of this going below down deck and sorting through it all.
Keeping Flagships? Like how many ships do you want?
Most of the cosmetic changes, well, they will and probably can get left for a more detailed game, the focus for this game seems to be as player friendly as possible.
That could be very much improved with some enhancements to the guild feature.
Everything listed about guilds would be much needed and used to enhance their use.
Primarily,
- Some kind of MOTD for crew members to read when logging on.
- An ability to either Friend, Goto, Whisper or Crew Guild Members
- When hovering a Character a 'Last Online Time' field would be good for removing inactive players.
Crewing Positions would be quite good also.
