Seriously though - founders status is only a definition of time (December 2nd 2007) and not much else.
Though I'm a founder, I don't see myself as different than any other pirate out there. I would think that maybe one day they would add additional colors to the timeline, to show stages of how long you've been playing the game (theres a thread around here somewhere discussing this - I'll try to find it tomorrow and post the link if you don't find it first
