Personally to me cannon takes a long time.
Sure you can get good rep from hitting down sails and then the hull,
but that still takes a good 2 minutes.
After you get that 100 rep or so you have to take another couple of minutes looking for your next ship.
To me cannon is easy but takes time so I would level it NOW!
