I understand that this is a thread for teams to be registered and not for general discussion of the Team vs Team tournament. I think this post belongs here, and any replies can be made in a separate thread please.
An innocent suggestion for the players making teams:
Before you make your teams, consider each individual player's attitude. The last event was really, really fun... while we were on the water. As soon as the ships hit the beach, the drama started. One specific line of the rules is as follows:
Anyone on record saying anything offensive to any player will be disqualified. This is a skills competition, so save the smack talk and take it to the seas.
Accusing players of cheating is saying something offensive. If you believe a player cheated, then you have that right. If you voice that thought publicly, you are breaking a rule. During the tournament, you may speak to a judge about it (In whisper, not where other players can see). It is no one's place to stand on the beach on a soap box and preach about what another player did. If you feel that someone glitched, someone used an illegal third party program, or that anyone cheated in any way... then take care of it when it happens, not after the event is said and done. And to those players that can't keep their lips zipped: Keep it in your guild chat. At least if it's there it wont be bothering the rest of us.
I think that the rules will be enforced more strictly from here on out (or at least I would hope so). The first week was a sort of "trial run". I hope none of the players that said offensive things think that that attitude can keep going... because it can't. It needs to stop.
There was entirely too much hard work put into the event to let one or two players bring it down. There will always be players that cheat. There will always be a lag on a busy server. Phil and those that help with the event are doing their best to make sure that things run smoothly, but it's very hard to continue an event when players refuse to abide by rules. So... choose your teammates wisely. Don't let the drama-starters come in and bring us all down. Not only does it ruin our fun, it ruins the entire event.
