Id like to add my two cents -
I stood last night with my lvl 40 pirate at Port Fort for quite a while. There were low levels attacking the 'patio' baddies, and OVER AND OVER the same lower levels would say in local "heal" or "tonic" - I was in a crew with my other level 40 partner, and was not hitting enemies.
HOWEVER - I have never been one to heal when its demanded of me, as Im BIG on manners.
Ask me. Don't tell me. And, one thing I noticed, was it was the SAME people NOT paying attention then to levels due to the ease of the 'revive' feature. Over and over nearby pirates were repeatedly reviving the SAME people - who then would tell others THEY were out of tonics.
As a note - since revive started, and some time before that - we don't keep tonics on hand since we don't use em. I last was using them for a visual staff glitch, and never restocked. BUT, I dont think Id be using them randomly anyways.
I think there is something to letting the low levels learn what they CAN and CANNOT attack without a sure-thing nearby bailout when they get knocked out. It would be different if the tonics came from their own stock - but I think people should not EXPECT a nearby pirate to heal, OR to tonic. (And, thats exactly HOW they say it "heal" not 'Please heal?' before they attack an enemy - which is what I would do. I would ask prior to attacking - 'Would you mind covering me? I need one of those guys - I appreciate it!' And yeah, I said it exactly that way! LOL)
While Disney is mentioning the tonics/crew issue, I wish they would remind players to use some manners, and REQUEST help - not demand it. If we get a tsk tsk for this, many could use a tsk tsk for THAT.
As mean as many might think it is, I simply won't help revive or heal a players pirate who I think needs a lesson in manners. Well, I won't revive anyways - since I don't keep tonics on hand.
My pet peeve is people EXPECTING help, not asking for it.
