Seeing as you have 2 pirates currently in what remains of your guild, I would suggest taking just one out, the one who you feel most comfortable using. At the moment it doesn't sound like you have an option of having another pirate made to fill a place. It might be a good idea to leave the guild with just one pirate. Take that one pirate, and do some serious research on new guilds.

As others have said there are many wonderful guilds listed here on POF. Check out the recruitment threads of the guilds here. Find a few you like, who's rules you can live with. PM the GMs, explain the situation, and see if you can meet some guild members in game. I know from doing this myself that the GMs here are great about getting back to prospective guildmembers, and are very nice people. From what I've seen they welcome a chance to meet new prospects in game. This is a great way to do a small trial run. When you find a guild you feel you might have a good fit with, try joining with that one pirate.

You can then check on your old guild with the second pirate. You may find, when checking, that your old guild slowly comes back to life. If you were happy there you can then go back to your old guild if you choose. If you like your new guild as well there is no reason at all to not stay in both guilds. Many people are members of more than one guild and balance it well. If your guild does not return, or if you are neither an officer or the GM and neither ever return you might just have a big problem right there. A guild with no officers or GM is unfortunately a dead guild.

It's sad to see old guilds die. However, there are guilds out there who fully understand that. Many of the large guilds have been known to absorb all members of a dead guild, or even to have been formed by the members of a guild who no longer had a GM or Officers. The problem is unfortunately very common.

I wish you the best of luck, either in your guild coming back, or in finding a new one.
