I used the back beach on Padres to master grenades, mostly because of the convenience of having a gunsmith right there where I could restock. There are, however, a lot of lower level enemies there, too, that couldnt cause damage while I was leveling, that may be a problem now.

here and mentioned a stump on Cutthroat Isle that you could use to level grenades with from a postion above it on the cliff where it couldnt reach you to cause substantial health loss. Cutthroat Isle and El Sudoron have the same layout with a stump in the same location (I used the one in El Sudoron to level cutlass and dagger). If I was going to use the stump for grenades, I would use the one in El Sudoron since its not a far run to the back beach for restocking.
