I use a wireless router and always have and only very occasionally have problems with it , also I would not really place much relevance to what tech support says as at leas in my experience they are not much above call takers and will automatically blame wireless connections or anything else they can
, and yes I work in tech support and am more than savy to the type of fob off responces that we give
I have been disconnected before and when checking with my crew they were also disconnected at the same time which to me at least puts much more likelyhood on a game fault than a fault on my end.
Yes wireless routers are more prone to disconnections but in general most are quite good and more than up to handling the kind of traffic that potc will generate. it may also be worthwhile changing your wireless channel if it is getting interference.
another thing to check is if the adsl router itself is lossing synchronisation at the same time you are disconnected and if the problem occurs whe you are using wireless with all the other computers in the house turned off as may also be caused by a miss configured / faulty network card or router.
