I think what Del said is very much true. Its how you interpret it. For example, when i did the BP story chapter, all i cared about was winning it and the rewards and the BB. Nothing about the story. I didnt enjoy it. Now, when i did some recent quests, no matter how repetitive it got, i enjoyed it - cuz i listened to the interesting story in it. As for me there's way more to do in POTCO. I have played since June of 08, and my pirate is lvl 35. The other pirates are 1 or more.
I have yet to fully explore most of the area, yet to advance my weapons to full power, yet to get involved in the biggest sea battles ( i have tried i admit ), yet to do most of the quests, all because when i play Pirates, I'm not a hard core gamer who spends hours only caring about ranking up to lvl 50 and being the best by killing hours on enemies. I spend my time chatting true, but I dont want to waste my time ranking like most of you have done, which usually leads to you all leaving the game waiting for the next lvl increase.
Okay what Nelly has said that way is kind of true. The quests are repetitive, but I bet it will become more fun and Runescapey if a new Inventory and Loot system comes, which will completely change the dynamics of quests.
Yes there maybe loads of basic access low lvl new comers, most of whom apparently leave the game. But apart from the leavers and the old timers, there are always new unlimited access ppl i see, that dont have high lvl pirates.... The game has 3 million accounts on it note that. The game has started promoting itself with some of the latest updates. The game was voted for the Best MMO in a category, all because of the Players who pay and play for it...
