I had no idea that there was such a SvS following that still existed.

No. You don't. I have been around this game for a long time. No one I know, on test or on live, cares a whit about SvS. I have done the quests and enjoyed it for a while, but too many Pirates used downloaded skills and then claimed that they were King of the Seven Seas.
SvS was dead to me the first time I saw some low-rent pirate in a light sloop taking out multiple war frigates because he was invincible and speed hacking.
It's nice to know people are still privateering but it is a minority sub-sector of the the players. Hope it works out the way you want it to...
