I too have been working the fence with me two newly minted level 20's. I agree with ye assesment on the gold issue. I like the drops, they are nice, but I also noticed that it is near impossible to get treasure collection items. I have not recieved a Navy award at all on two pirates.
On all my pirates prior to the update I nearly completed the navy medal collection, minus the pirate slayers mark. I did this by grenade level 17+. So this is frustrating. Heck all treasure collection drops are rare now except invasions.
I may never complete my collections on my two pirate masters, and now even my new pirates! AAAAARRRRGGGGG!
