Boycotting the game doesn't hurt Disney in any way, shape or form. If you are a limited player, then Disney doesn't get any money from you, and if you stop playing, a day, a week, or forever, it has absolutely no effect on Disney. If you are unlimited, and you stop playing, a day or even longer, Disney then is making money from you, and not even having to supply you with a product.

The only way to hurt Disney is for everyone who has an unlimited account to suddenly cancel their subscriptions, and THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

If you want to have an impact, there is only one thing to do. That is to start an active write in campaign to Disney. Make out a very precise form letter, and get everyone onboard to send it to them every single day. Feedback is the players only answer. Not boycotting.

I email Disney every single day about the change that allows people to walk through one another. I can't walk through a wall. I can't walk through an NPC. Why should pirates/players be able to walk through each other? I understood it from the perspective of the crowds and the invasions, but that no longer applies. The invasions occur less aften, and are attended by fewer players nowadays.

This new system is extremely unrealistic, causes lots of less than desirable situations, and I WANT MY PERSONAL SPACE BACK! (Not to mention AFK pushing.)

Back to your original point though; The drops have not proven to be the cure all that Disney thought they were going to be. What they have done is cause a lot of frustration in players like myself who have spent many long hours trying to find a single instance of the El patron, and still haven't gotten one. The drops have made it much HARDER for a smaller pirate to acquire the golld that they, of all players, really need. The poor player with the level 20 to 25 pirate can't earn the gold to buy a warship. I have gotten into the habit of not even bothering to open anything less than a skull chest. Loot pouches and treasure chests just aren't worth the effort, and then you just have to go sell the stuff. Selling takes time.

The weapon drops should be just that, weapon drops! The old method of getting gold from every enemy wasn't broke, so why did they have to go mess it up?
