I'd suggest to work on your attune. It's really helpful when you have to destroy a lot of enemies like in one mission,I had to destroy ten Vampire Bats. It helped me to get a Vampire Bat and some other enemies as well.
And Captain_Sea;that is for levels,not the skills. Press k: max is five,starting with one to unlock the skill.
