Really good guide. What I like to do to level my pistol is mass murder a bunch of level 15 Flytraps. I usually bring the rest o' my crew just in case I'm overwhelmed; I'm only level 13. Despite having a ranged attack, I usually have one of my stronger friends stand a little bit in front of me, so they will take the hits while I just blast the plant to pieces. Got me to level 6 and I bet it can take me to 15 or something.
