Lol.. this isn't a new glitch. I've known this forever.
It works best from a Light Galleon/Galleon/War Galleon.
Go to the top cannons, press shift to join the cannon, then press the escape button really fast. After that, just walk forward.
This will create the ' Ever Lasting Staircase. '
You can get as high as you want, and can board others ships. ( Press jump to stop climbing, and you'll stay in the same spot when walking. )
