Chapter 11
The Crew
Tortuga.... Tortuga. I was just at Tortuga for heaven's sake! I'm running around the Caribbean for no apparent reason! Time to stowaway again...
As I head over to the dockworker, and talk to the man I ask him if he could put me in the box, and head me to Tortuga. He said sure, but it'll cost ye. Few gold pieces will be good.
As I pat my pockets I hear no clinking.
I'm out of gold. I'm broke. I told the Dockworker " Err um, I'm outta gold, Could you transport me anyways....?"
The dockworker said:
Ye cheap landlubber! This business is hard work, if I don't get my due then you don't get your stowaway transportation. Now shoo before I whack you in the head with me hammer ye bilge rat!
He shoos me away while I have no way to get to Tortuga. I might as well run into the bar, and see what's going on in there, might find a crew...
I walk in with the door slamming quickly, and very loud. As I walk in the bar is hectic, I see a group of pirates, walking by the bar, I see a man in a beard, he had a dark hat, similiar to Barbossa's hat, the man I saw in the cave. He had jewelry on his left eyebrow, and on his nose as well. He had the impression of a skull tattoo on his face, and he wore a coat, by the looks of it, an expensive coat that they don't give to some of those lowlifes. He had boots, dark by the looks of it and dark pants as well. He had a green vest, and belt on, but the belt had no buckle. Others were gathering around him as well. IT looked like, he was the crew leader.
I walk over to him, and say,
"Hey you! Are you a crew leader?"
The mysterious man replies,
Ye be right ye scallywag, I am the crew leader. It seems ye be wanting to join, and we'd happily take you, of course my crew is more high stakes than others. We live by the code, and if you don't listen to me, yer journey may be cut short. I am Delmaria Darkskull, CAPTAIN Delmaria Darskull, owner of the Sea Dragon, but anybody in my crew refers to me as Captain Del. So, ye wanting to join?
I think about it for a moment, and then I say, "Yes"
HA, good. We be needing another helping hand around me ship. But be warned, me crew be more tough than you think, and they are more powerful than you might ever be. My crew is not an easy way to live, we take hardships and make compensations in order to become the most savviest pirates of the Caribbean. In other words, this ain't no crew for the faint of heart. And you'll be a prospect to us, until you prove us your worth. Now ain't no time to talk, time to tell you who is who in this crew.
I then ask, " Who's that short guy right there? He part of the crew?"
Don't ye be insulting Andrew, Andrew is a great swordsman, marksman and is very skillful in the art of voodoo. Ye best not try to infuriate the man, ye might be on the floor after that...
And the man next to him, the one with a mustache, curly mustache, and a nice looking pirate hat. He's William Goldwalker. He's skilled in almost everything. He knows how to hold a cutlass, to knowing how to fix a cannon. He ain't no easy boy here, we work him hard, and pay him better.
I say, " Who's the girl? Ain't that a curse to have a woman on board?"
She ain't no curse to us. THe girl is Potions Pirate. She is a master of potions. She's gotten us out of more situations than all of us together. She needs us, we need her. Done deal.
Then I ask another question to Captain Del, which looked like he was geting irritated a tad. "Who's the guy dressed in dark?"
He's The Pirate of Wisdom, not the best at wielding a cutlass, but he knows more and sees more than any of us. His wits have helpd us infiltrate navy forts, escape from the undead, and see invasions coming. He is one of the best.
The man with no coat on, that's Jack Firesteel. He is gifted with power. He knows how to wield a cutlass, throw knives, and is gifted with a power to use Bloodfire weapons. Bloodfire weapons are powerful weapons, that give off a heat and gives off flame, so powerful, it is said that a true user could burn down Padres if he felt like it. Or she.
And the man right there, also dressed in black is Delpadros Darkskull, me son, and first mate. Listen to him, or else you'll face the gallows. He is gifted into seeing the futures if Calypso grants his wish. He can sense enemies surrounding us, and senses ambushes. You see, I abandoned my wife, I couldn't take her anymore. She was annoying, and she was pregnant. We ran away together searching for freedom, and to rid her annoyance to us.
All in all, ye better find a talent quickly, because if ye don't then you'll be in the ocean. Along with the sharks. We'll see you in the morning. Get some sleep in your ship. You're to report here at 7 in the morning. Don't be late.
Or else you'll be stuck here.
