On what you're saying that Affiliation can be changed.. Let me tell you again. Privateering might include just for a single task, based on which reputation builds up and tasks are made again. When in Affiliation people look at you as "a member of the Black Guard" or "Ah! A skeleton!" But if we betray our overlords, we leave the affiliation and get hunted down. Therefore we can change colours.
That may be their "Long-standing policy" but through e-mails players have changed many things. When user:Toanuju's pirate ID was banned, complaints were lambasting the Disney Interactive HQ.
