The grenades quest you posted is a little different than it is now, but you're right, they're close. (For a while it's been, instead of returning to Kingshead again, you go to Fort Dundee. And you don't have to smuggle grenades to an island.)
I said before, this seems like a glorified weapons quest. Although the new challenges makes it worth it.
