I've had way too many pirates on my friends list leave the game because they were bored with nothing to do because ... wait for it... new content wasn't released in a timely fashion! I don't recall ever reading a rant about an MMO because there is
more to do or the dev gave the players the content players wanted in a timely fashion.

Wow. Davy Jones and the Kraken were talked about when the game was in beta, and ship customization was discussed at the one year anniversary. You must be one of the happiest pirates in the Caribbean since Disney has kept you waiting all this time!
