Maybe it would just be working for them part time, like during the 2nd story chapter, or they themselves can assign minor quests from time to time for all those who chose the specified allegiance. Or it also could be something like joining the Casa de Muertos guild? Or joining them in adventures against other pirates? (taking into account a possibility that wild islands can have crew v.s crew PvP ability). There are loads of possibilities but we'll just have to wait and see what PotCo has coming for us all.

This whole one big PvP match thing is exactly why I love the idea of PvP servers. You go on a server, chose your team, and sink some enemy ships. You can do all the stuff normally, except you get to fight other people too.
