Now if there were Weapon merchants who sold weapons with different abilities or gave you a power that allowed you to obtain weapons with a certain skill I would think there were a point. But clothing has no stats in this game, and I would rather run around in my underwear than in fancy looking clothing that looks nothing like a pirates wardrobe.
