No, it's because the Wii is less high-tech, and can't hold as much on a disk or run as much as the others. I believe Infinity Ward said, and I paraphrase: "We would like to make MW2 for the Wii, but it just doesn't have the power to fulfill our ambitions. And, if we can provide a better experience on it than other consoles, than we will gladly switch to it."
Wii gamers have to accept the fact that the Wii has inferior hardware, but makes up for it with family friendly, fun, and addictive games.
