So, what Davy said.... Just message an admin, ( A complete list of them can be found on the left-hand side of the home page) and tell them the situation. they are sure to understand.
The one hint that I have for you is to make sure that you are set to log in automatically. When the name change occurs, and you are unaware of it, you will most likely not think about typing on your new name, as opposed to the name that you have been using for the entirety of your stay here.
Also, I wanted to mention one little piece of information that was not noted in the above text: You may only change your name once a year, so, in example, don't make your new one "Roger Sharkshot lvl 45." Because, well, chances are, by the time you hit level 50, you will not be eligible for another name change.
