I have a new twist to all your theories (except the one right above this one) :
Basic memebers have a higher chance of finding famed weapons!
I have proved this! I have an unlimited and a basic account. My unlimited person is lv 38: 2 famed, 1 of them cursed Doom Stinger. My basic person is lv 34, never got to do the El Patron Quest bc it wasnt out the last time I had unlimited on him: TWENTY-FOUR FAMED (36 if u count trashed) NONE of them are cursed.
P.S. Downside for basics: Lower chance of finding legendary.
