Hiya there Niki, welcome to the forums!

Pirates Online Forums (POF, or, "the forums") is a site where pirates from all walks of life come to discuss every little detail and aspect of Pirates of the Caribbean Online (POTCO.) These discussions range to anything, from talking about new updates to the game, to guilds, and so forth. Every member on the forums, no matter what status, or how long they have been here, is welcome to participate in what goes on around here.

The forums follows a few set policies and rules that were created by the staff here to help maintain order. If you ever second guess yourself on doing something, be sure to look over the rules and guidelines, here.

Before I get to posting or anything, let's talk about your Profile.

Your Profile is the place where you can deatil anything about who you are as a person, as well as the specifics of your pirate. You can located your Profile by simply clicking on your username, where ever it might appear. My prefered method for reaching my profile is going to the top right corner of the top of the screen, where it says "Welcome, Niki Heartstealer," and clicking on your/my name.

When you reach your Profile, you will be able to customize it yourself, by clicking on "Customize Profile" on the right side of the bar below your Username. This will take you to your User CP (Which can also be reached by clicking on "User CP" in the top left of the screen.) From here, you can go to a number of places by following the links on the sidebar to the left of the detailed area, including places where you may upload an avatar, upload a signature (which is only available for members who have subscribed to the forums here,) and so forth. When your done, your profile will end up looking like how you customized it - mine, as an example: Captain Del's Profile.

Now, as for actually getting involved in the forums. There are a number of boards on these forums, each with a purpose of its own. All these boards are listed in the Forums section of the site, which can be reached by clicking on the "Forums" icon at the top of the page. Each forum has a name, and it's purpose is detailed in the description below it. Clicking on a board's name will redirect you to that board, where you will find the list of threads for that board, in order of recent activity.

It is in these boards you can post threads, make posts on current threads, etc. To go farther in depth, I'll give you an example. Let's say you want to promote the guild that you're in in the game. You would go to the POTCO Guilds and Clans Forum, and click on "New Thread" right below the Archived Forum, (in this case, Davy Jone's Crew.)

From here, you will fill out a title, and then type everything you want us to know about your guild in the section below. When you're done, you'll hit "Submit New Thread" at the bottom, and there you go! You've successfully posted a thread!

Posting a reply to a thread is equally simple. Simply click on the thread, (be sure to read all if not most of the posts already on the thread!,) go to the little Comment box at the bottom of the thread, and type up what you have to say. When you're done, just hit "Submit Reply." Please remember, though, that all threads and posts must uphold the Site Rules!

If you ever need to edit your post, simply find the post of yours you want to change, and hit the "Edit" button in the bottom right corner of the post.

Hopefully I made that all as simple as possible. If you have any further questions, please Private Message me here, or contact any of the mods located on the Staff List here.

Welcome aboard, good luck, and happy pirating!
