The anchor weapon is from Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned. The game was cancelled just months before release. It was basically going to be like Fable. Doubt you will see something like that in POTCO.
But, the developers appear to be working on new sword types and possibly boarding axes as well. Be curious to see. Axes were a common weapon among historical pirates, and apparently a number of noted women buccaneers preferred them to swords.
