Today, we completed Chapter Two of our Guild Quest. Below is a summary of everything that happened.
Chapter 2: Locating the Sword
We started on Tortuga, where I summarized up what happened last time and informed everyone of what would be happening today. We also met some strangers there who seemed to think we were a bunch of noobs. We gave them a piece of our minds.

We said it more times, but I didn't catch it on screen. It freaked them out haha.
Now, if you all recall, we were able to steal a map from Foulberto Smasho. One of the islands had an X on it, but of course, Foublerto had to write the island's names in riddles. The riddle he wrote for X Island was this:
Quote:
This is the land, that is more like the sea.
Where a crew is trapped,
And can never leave.
They are no longer men,
Consumed by greed.
If there you are to go, my warning you should heed.

We decoded the riddle, and we figured that it must have been Isla Tormenta. Foulberto needed a place to hide it somewhere, so that's where he placed it. So we set sail there, in a massive fleet! Credit for the idea goes to one of our officers, Matthew Scurvytimbers.

From there, we charged inside of Tormenta!

We started searching in the Thrall Den. We tore the place apart, killing every Thrall Captain and Urchinfist in sight! Unfortunately, even after digging up a chest, we found nothing but a few handfuls of gold. Then Chris suggested that Foulberto would have hid it in an area where there is already a lot of treasure, so it would be harder to find. That lead us to the Treasure Room!

We tore the place up, and then we found a note that Foulberto had left.
Quote:
By this time, I am sure that one of Davy Jones’s crewmen has found the sword and the spell book. I had to get rid of it because [this area was inked out]. Davy Jones is not stupid. Its power was too great for him. He will have gotten rid of it by now. The two objects are likely at the bottom of the ocean.
Signed, Foulberto Smasho

Of course, we're a stubborn bunch, so we wouldn't give up there. Something that powerful, after all, can't be just lost to civilization. It's like it wants to be wielded by man. But where to start? If it was somewhere in the ocean, it could have been anywhere. Camdapirate suggested that we go visit Tia Dalma. After all, she is Calypso, the mighty Goddess of the Sea. We visited her in her home of the Pantano River and asked her for help.
She told us that it once was in the ocean. She could feel its power, and she dared not go near it. Even Tia Dalma feared Oberon and his Sword of Darkness. Although she was able to tell us that it was recently in the waters, it was taken out not too long ago. Picked up, likely by a ship that is still sailing around. Of course, just our luck. We have to do some more searching for The Sword, eh?
So we set sail, and decided to go for flagships. After a few minutes though, we got lucky and a Treasure Fleet set sail! We all piled on the Shadow King and attacked, along with some other ships in the area. Unfortunately, we were outmatched and we sunk twice. The Fleet was sunk without us, and we were without any loot from it. Loot that may have contained The Sword of Darkness. After all, it would make sense to trust something like that with the HMS Invincible.
We sat at the dock, dismayed, when my good friend William Goldwalker approached us. I remembered seeing his ship sinking it, and got an idea. I asked him if he found anything of interest, and luckily for us, he had turned up the Captain's Log of the HMS Invincible! I am currently working on reading some of these entries. It'll take me a while, and we can figure out when to meet up again at one of our meetings.
Good work mates! It was loads of fun!
