If the Goliath is a level 38 War Frigate, I would expect it to use Fury, Explosive and Thunderbolt almost solely. Otherwise, it won't be much of a challenge.
And from what I've seen of the Pearl, it's got the general shape of a War Sloop but is armed like a Frigate. So Ima call it a Slogate. Or a Frigoop.
