My condolences go out to your laptop, I know what it's like to have a close processor shut off. Alas, in my lifetime I've probably destroyed about 7 computers trying to overwork them, in fact the one I'm using right now is years old and possibly approaching the end of it's life.
The truth is, computers hate me. They really do. Whether it's the latest AI that I just created or a Windows 95 endurance test, they truly, honestly hate me. I'm afraid they think I'm the master drive and they're the slave drive, but in truth, none of us would be complete without the other. I've tried talking to my computer about resolving some of these issues, but its variety system has yet to reach a point in which it can fully cooperate with me. And for some reason, I'm afraid this is my fault. I mean if you try telling someone that Skippy treats computers well, and they'll most likely believe you. But it's different, the computers don't understand what I do, what I've done for them. And that... that means everything.
So what do I do? I destroy them. That's right, complete obliteration. No computer that believes it can stand up to me deserves to have it's processor in it's place, disks to contemplate, or programs to benefit. Your computer may feel the same way towards you, and if you want my advice, threaten it until it bows to your every whim.
