Try playing RuneScape.
You have a certain amount of "energy" to run, but once you use it up... you either have to waste a few seconds resting or walk. Trust me, that map is huge with Pay to Play. O_o
Anyway... I have had a glitch where I pressed run and when I let go I kept on running like I had auto-run on. I think it's just as annoying as delayed Tonic and sailing skills not doing anything, if not worse. Many bugs in this game are connected to Lag... sadly.
