Yes, They have done a GM event, which is what they do before a major Update, so it doesnt go a long time with nothing, BUT, They alos may have to work on the other ships, and plan to release them all together.
Seems to me its a 50/50 chance of it being soon. Either A: Its the next/ a near coming update, or B: They are adding a major update, but It wont be new ships.
The only thing for sure, is that there will be a major update soon.
