"What Once Was" - Area of the past

Miss the old main island layouts?

Well, have I got a good suggestion here that would "follow the story" and make sense with the game mechanics in Pirates Online.

The suggestion:

The "What Once Was" area is an area only accessible via quest-item, provided by Tia Dalma.

The quest-item would be an object (Like a totem or spell) that would magically teleport you back into time when the old island layouts existed back in 07-08. You need to be at least level 30 to obtain this item, as this could work out to be future quests that can only be completed in "What Once Was" worlds.

It makes sense because Voodoo is basically "magic", and Tia Dalma could construct some kinda object to be able to work as a time traveler device. It works with the story because she would explain how the lands have changed because of the EITC attacks and threats to the towns of the Caribbean.

Anyway, the old islands will be... well the original. EXP gain is blocked in these worlds, however, defeating enemies;talking to NPCs; and sailing to sink ships in "What Once Was" worlds that have quests that can only be completed in these worlds, would reward you the quest EXP ONLY (So, notoriety EXP gain only from quests completed in "What Once Was" worlds. And, no, you cannot earn notoriety by any of your weapons, either).

Also, only all old music would exist (which includes sailing_e.mp3). These worlds would also be in a faded scenery background color (Like, to represent a flashback or something, because you're moving in the past).

Players can see each other in these worlds, too. However, some actions done in the other world, may not be possible in old worlds.

About the inventory system working in the "What Once Was" worlds...

Shouldn't be a problem. The blacksmiths and gunsmiths would sell the old Level 5, 10, and 15 upgraded weapons like they used to. You will be able to keep them in your inventory to bring back to the present world.

Note: This suggestion is still a work in progress, but I know it could work! Just takes some effort... (Something Disney is known to be lacking, lately)
