Ahoy partners!
As part of our News Years Reforms, the Officers and I have made a consensus to rewrite the guild rules as a way to introduce a more clean and modern feel to our guild's guidelines. While the majority of the basic rules that have accompanied our entire guild's existence have remained the same, we have made key edits and expansions to some of them that will allow for our members to get a more straightforward understanding of every aspect of our guild rules and standards.
While on top of clarifying current guild rules, these changes are meant to help veer our guild back in the direction of teaching our members how to become individual pirates and leaders in their own respective ways. We hope that by encouraging a stronger sense of aiding others and leading other groups of pirates, as well as seeking individuality and creating their own fame (or, "infamy"
) in the Caribbean. Essentially, we are looking to help our members become the pirates who will lead the next generation of pirates in the Caribbean, and every generation afterwards!
Some of the changes in the rules are:
- The guild rules have been renamed The Codex! (Sounds more piraty than "rules," don't you think?)
- A new guild rule has been enacted that officially puts out our stance against the use of glitches, hacks, and third party programs. Once merely a "rule of thumb," it has now been enacted as an official guild rule so our members have to deal with less confusion when exploring the more loopy ends of the game.
- Pirates are now strongly encouraged to use proper typing will speaking in guild chat. Although this may be hard for some of our younger members, we hope that you make your best effort to improve on your keyboarding skills so that way communication in the guild between members can be much cleaner.
- Clarified on issues like the "Same Crew" Teleporting Rule, Looting/Leveling with others, and how the ejection system works.
- Added two new qualifications for members - be outgoing, and be willing to help other pirates! It's essential that a partner has the ability to communicate, to interact, to aid, and to lead, so we want to start addressing that.
