I enjoy the invasions more if I remember to put my game on medium resolution before they start. It takes care of a lot of the lag. Graphics are not noticeably worse. It's when you're out sailing that things really start looking cartoon-like. (But then again what else do you expect from Disney.)
But yes, no invasion last night and tonight. Treasure fleets the last three nights running, but no one seems to be going after them. I was the only one to sink a ship of the treasure fleet on two nights running.
Depending of course on which server you're on, I guess.
