Wow... never heard of this glitch. I am really glad I joined this site, there is some really good info and news here.
And it is very interesting that the pirates on the ship can fight back. My ship will not be in the public section until I know for sure that this bug is patched.
What is also a good idea is to just gather a crew before going on your ship, with friends, guild mates, or just asking the public.
