I'm glad to say I am where I want to be after pirating for 5 years and counting. In the islands and around the seas, making friends and helping others leveling, questing, SvSing, plundering, looting, etc. You name it, I think I've done it at least once or twice on all my countless pirates Don't get me wrong I have tried Lord of the Rings but it never captured me the same as PoTCo does. Others have tried to lure me over to WOW but I'm happy and content on Pirates.
I've seen people come and go, and return to visit once in a while. I've gone from a member to Senior Officer then a Co-Gm and finally as GM but these wouldn't matter much because it all boils down on how you see the game. I'm still learning new things and sharing them with friends, guildsmates and others. Most of all, it's the friendships (on and off game) I've forged through the years that's made it worth while logging on game on a daily basis whether it's on live or on test. Remember there's no straight and narrow way to play yer pirate- the possibilities are endless. Challenge yourself and change things up when it comes to leveling yer weapons and skills. Just because the game's telling you to get certain weapons doesn't mean you have to. Look at the game in a new perspective and you unlock an endless possibilities pirating adventures.
I leave you with RP's Guild Song that sums up Pirates for me It's all about the adventure, friendships, and the memories you create along the way. Enjoy!
